*VERY LATE PRE-WAR COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER.SN 357099. Cal 32 WCF (32-20). Blue & color case hardened with 4-3/4″ bbl, altered front sight and 2-line bbl address with caliber marking on the left side. Left side of frame has 2-line 3-patent dates with Rampant Colt. Serial number is found on bottom front of the frame and on right sides of front & backstraps and inside each grip. This 1940 Colt is among the last of the single actions produced prior to WWII. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching. Overall retains about 98% crisp orig finish with only faint sharp edge wear on the bbl & ejector housing with light fading on top strap & recoil shields of the frame. Frame shows brilliant case colors in the sheltered areas. Backstrap has light freckles. Grips are sound showing very light diamond point wear.
