CARVED ARCHITECTURAL CHELSEA FLORISTS’ TRADE SIGN.Last quarter 19th century, England. This painted and decorated example rendered from the back of a William IV sideboard. The borders with applied moldings centering an inverted crest. The sign painted in cream with blue letters trimmed in gold. SIZE: 35-1/2″ h x 58″ w. CONDITION: Retains original painted surfaces now weathered, faded, and with some paint loss. Most noticeable through the middle of the word “Flowers”. The board somewhat bowed through the center.
