QUEEN ANNE TIGER MAPLE HIGHBOY.18th century, probably New Hampshire. In two parts, upper case with stepped cove molded cornice above three aligned thumb molded short drawers over four graduated long drawers, fitted to mid-molded lower case with long drawer above a central fan carved drawer, flanked by deep short drawers above shaped apron raised on angular cabriole legs with shaped returns, on circular flattened spoon or pad feet. SIZE: 74-1/2″ h x 36″ case w x 41″ overall w x 21-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Proper left legs with restoration at case. All four legs have been removed and reattached to case. Hardware later replacements. Additional dowels and pins have been replaced in case. Upper case has been mounted with casters in the past. Chest has been nicely repolished, now with medium honey-brown color with pleasing patina. 51376-54 (5,000-7,000) – Lot 2357
