LOT OF EARLY AMERICAN SILVER, WILLIAM SIMPKINS, BOSTON.

The lot including a circular porringer with pierced keyhole handle, engraved with initials “P,D*M”, double stamped in the center which appears to be the mark of William Simpkins (1704 – 1780). A demitasse spoon with spined handle and marked on the back “WS” for William Simpkins. Together with an 18th century unmarked silver cann with scroll work handle, stepped foot, and ring molding around top rim. Monogrammed on the front in script. SIZE: Porringer with handle 7-1/2″. Spoon 4″. Cann 5″ t. CONDITION: Overall very good, appears that the cann may have once had a spout and was professionally repaired, small bend on foot of cann. 51513-2 (2,000-2,500) – Lot 2057
