FIELD & LANGSTROTH AND CO. MARKED DERRINGER PISTOL.

SN NSN. Neat medium sized Derringer of approx .45 cal bore. Round bbl with flat top, front blade sight. Wooden ramrod with brass tip. Frame and top strap are lightly floral engraved as are screws. Silver shield, grip, which is lightly checkered. Trigger guard lightly engraved. Stocks with small silver inlay and finial at front of trigger guard. Very old collection sticker at butt and brass collection tag on trigger guard. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Good. Bbl has been cleaned and has scatter pin-prick pitting. Hammer and lock are dark gray with scattered freckling. Primer with corrosion. Checkering lightly worn though mostly visible. There is an old grain separation at front of trigger guard finial. Ramrod likely a replacement. This gun retailed by Field & Langstroth & Co.
