*COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY BUNTLINE SPECIAL REVOLVER 2ND GENERATION.

SN 17248 SA. Cal. 45 Colt. 12″ bbl. Blue and case colored finish. Plain two-piece walnut grips. All markings standard for this model. Serial numbers match on frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Cylinder has a Rampant Colt stamped on rear face. Manufactured 1957. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 98% original blue finish turning slightly plum toward muzzle end. Front sight is full-sized. Bbl markings are sharp. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Ejector rod housing retains 98% original blue with some high point wear at front end and on ejector rod head. Frame retains 80% muted case color with a coat of dried oil overall which dulls the finish somewhat. Hammer has bright blue on top and back. Sides have a coat of dried oil. Screws are good. Trigger retains 99% blue. Frame marking is sharp. Trigger guard and backstrap retain 90% blue with some dulling on forestrap and backstrap. Cylinder retains 98% blue finish with a slight drag mark at bolt notches and at rear of cylinder. Chambers are clean. Grips are excellent with only miniscule handling marks.
