*COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER 2ND GENERATION.SN 38826 SA. Cal. 45 Colt. 5 1/2″ bbl. Blue and case colored finish. Checkered hard rubber grips with Colt medallion. All markings correct for this model. Rampant Colt stamp on rear of cylinder. Serial numbers match on frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and grips. Manufactured in 1963. PROVENANCE: The Dr. Robert G. Cox Estate Collection. CONDITION: Very fine to excellent. Bbl and ejector rod housing retain 99% of bright blue finish with only slight muzzle wear and top of sight wear. Front sight is full-sized. Bbl markings are sharp and clear. Frame retains 98% of brilliant case color with only slight high point wear. Hammer and trigger retain 99% of bright blue with a slight wear mark on left side of hammer. Screws are very fine. Cylinder retains 99% bright blue with a slight drag mark inside bolt notches. Screws are excellent. Trigger guard and backstrap retain 98% bright blue with some wear on edge of forestrap and edge of backstrap. Grips are excellent with sharp checkering and only some slight discoloration on butt.
