*COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH CHECKERED HARD RUBBER GRIPS WITH COLT MEDALLIONS.

SN 294312. Cal. 38 WCF. 5-1/2″ bbl, blue and case colored finish. Checkered hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. PROVENANCE: The Dr. Robert G. Cox Estate Collection. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains 80-85% of bright blue finish with a sharp bbl address and caliber marking. Holster wear on left side of bbl and some muzzle wear. Bore is good with some staining. Ejector rod housing retains 90% bright blue. Ejector rod and head has been polished bright and are non-factory replacements. Frame retains 50% mottled case colors with bright color in gullets in front of cylinder, inside loading gate, and along side of hammer. Screws are fine and show a considerable amount of fire blue. Hammer shows 20% muted case colors on both sides. Trigger retains 60% orig fire blue finish. Backstrap and trigger guard retain 60% bright blue with some staining on straps. Cylinder retains 60% bright blue with a slight drag mark and a scuff mark behind one of the flutes. All visible SNs match. Grips are very good and are numbered to gun. Grips have faded to a light brown color as is often seen in this vintage of Single Action. Action functions well.
