HANDEL BOUDOIR LAMP.

Handel boudoir lamp has obverse painted egg shaped shade with an exotic bird perched atop a plant with purple and pink flowers on each side. Pattern repeats itself on reverse and shade is further decorated on sides with additional plants and flowers extending from top to bottom with bright green leaves and purple and pink flowers. All set against a yellow crackle background. Signed on inside fitter “Handel 7095” along with artist initials “AH”. Shade rests on a cast metal Chinese design platform base with gold finish. Unsigned. SIZE: Lamp 7-3/4″ t. CONDITION: Shade has what appears to be an internal 1″ long crack in the fitter, it does not break the surface and may just be an elongated part of the crackle design, Otherwise very good to excellent. Base is very good with some finish loss, replaced socket, switch does not work. 49757-2 (300-500) – Lot 1493
