*SCARCE WINCHESTER MODEL 70 BIG BORE BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

SN 369581. Cal. 458 Win Mag. Pre-64 Model 70 with 25″ tapered rnd bbl, ramp front sight with hood and wheel adjustable ramp rear sight. Bottom of bbl has stalking sling base and receiver is factory drilled & tapped for scope bases. Bolt body & magazine follower are engine turned (jeweled). Floorplate is marked “SUPER GRADE”. Mounted in a very nicely figured, 1-pc American walnut half-stock with deluxe checkering, black forend tip, single cross bolt & capped pistol grip with cheekpiece and solid red Winchester pad. Bottom of stock is mounted with a deluxe swivel base and rifle is accompanied by a pair of orig Winchester deluxe swivels. Bottom of receiver recoil lug is stamped “458” and bottom of bbl is marked “458” and “56”. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus. Overall retains 99% plus crisp orig finish with only slight scuffing on the receiver rails. The matching numbered bolt shows moderate scuffing to the jeweled body, otherwise all the metal is in outstanding orig condition. Stock is equally new with a couple of light handling & storage nicks and retains dark orig finish. Mechanics are crisp.
