*20 GAUGE A. H. FOX SINGLE TRIGGER EJECTOR “SPECIAL” UPGRADE.SN 202135. Cal. 20 GA 2-1/2” Chambers. 30” Chromox steel bbls fitted with matted rib are engraved with steel info and Fox Philadelphia address on tops. Rear portions of bbls are engraved with raised relief gold inlaid ducks flushing from marsh. Another duck, flush inlaid in red gold, is on rib extension. Bbl flats and bottoms of bbls are stamped with SN, Fox proof, and striking weight “4”. Small case hardened action features automatic safety (S inlaid in gold), and gold-plated Kautzky single selective trigger. Action is engraved with about 70% coverage small scroll with gold inlaid wire borders and relief engraved flowers on fences, top of action, top lever, and on ends of hinge pin. Bottom of action has circular vignette of relief gold inlaid grouse with mountainous background. Another gold inlaid flower is on trigger guard bow. SN is gold inlaid at grip. Water table is stamped with normal Fox patent dates and SN, and is gold inlaid “SPECIAL”. Signature “ENG by W.H. Gough” is around rear of trigger guard mounting stud. Exceptional black marbled stump European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 14-7/8” over russet colored leather covered pad, and features European style shadow line right hand cheekpiece, and floral carving on bottom of grip. Side panels are checkered, as is grip, both with incised carved scrolling borders. Checkering on left side is carved “WCB” on uncheckered oval; right side has mirrored oval carved “1924”. Matching splinter ejector forend has inset schnabeled hard rubber tip, and typical Deeley type release. Bore diameter: left -.615, right -.615. Bore restrictions: left -.014 (Mod), right -.008 (IC). Wall thickness: left -.026, right -.025. Drop at heel: 2-3/16″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 6 lbs 6 oz. LOP: 14-7/8″. Special Note: This item contains or is made of ivory.
