*.410 L. C. SMITH FIELD GRADE.SN FWS56329. Cal. 410 3″ Chambers. 28″ Bbls with raised, matted, sgl sighting plane rib is marked with typical L. C. Smith nomenclature on top right bbl. Small case hardened action with automatic safety and dbl triggers is unmarked except for “L. C. Smith” on each lockplate, and SN and grade on water table. Plain American walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/8″ over ribbed composition buttplate. Flat top point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter forend has J-spring release. Bore diameter at muzzles: left -.387, right -.397. Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-5/16″. Weight: 6 lbs 7 oz. LOP: 14-1/8″. CONDITION: Good. Bbls retain most of their orig blue with many marks and some cleaned rust at breech ends. Action retains 40 – 50% orig case hardening color, vivid where protected. Lockplates retain most of their color, considerably faded, especially right lock, which is almost gray. Stocks retain most of what appears to be their orig finish with a considerable number of light marks. Forend has repaired 3″ crack on left side toward tip, with added oil. Bores are excellent.
