*SCARCE .410 L. C. SMITH FIELD GRADE WITH AUTOMATIC EJECTORS AND SINGLE TRIGGER WITH CASE.SN FWE192862. Cal. .410. 3″ Chambers. 26″ Bbls with raised, matted, sgl sighting plane rib is marked with typical L. C. Smith nomenclature on top right bbl. Small case hardened action with automatic safety and sgl selective trigger is unmarked except for “L. C. Smith” on each lockplate, Hunter One Trigger on trigger plate, and SN and grade on water table. Nicely streaked European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/4″ over ribbed composition buttplate. Flat top point pattern checkering is at grip. American walnut splinter ejector forend has J-spring and knurled secondary release in oval escutcheon. Bore diameter at muzzles: left -.392, right -.401. Drop at heel: 2-3/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs 5 oz. LOP: 14-1/4″. Good quality rounded pigskin case is lined in burgundy cloth. Case was made by Capt. A. H. Hardy, and his leather label is on central partition block. CONDITION: Excellent, as competently and completely refinished. Metal parts retain all of their factory type orig finishes, with perhaps a bit of subsequent edge wear. New buttstock retains nearly all of its hand rubbed oil finish. Forend retains a like amount of a matching refinish. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. Ejectors are in time. Trigger works. Case is fine. .410 L. C. Smith’s are hard to find especially with single trigger and ejectors. This would make a delightful quail gun. 49417-36 MGM353 (9,000-14,000) – Lot 2325
