*PERAZZI SINGLE BARREL TRAP WITH TRULY EXCEPTIONAL RELIEF ENGRAVING AND GOLD INLAY.

SN 126. Cal. 12 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. This Ithaca era Perazzi has 32″ Mono-bloc bbl with raised vent rib choked full. Coin finished action with blued removable trigger group, is engraved with exceptionally well carved and sculpted open scrolled acanthus, as background to exquisitely detailed game scenes, principals relief gold inlaid. What appears to be a fisher cat wrapped around a tree trunk, watching a departing pair of pheasant is on left, and four ducks fly across a marsh on right. A pair of snipe, one obviously hit by shot, feathers flying, are over a marsh on bottom of action. This truly exceptional engraving does not appear to be signed. Nicely marbled European walnut rosewood capped pistol grip stock by Dockwiller, is fitted with black trap pad, and has fancy border checkering. Matching beavertail type forend has Anson type release. Weight: 7 lbs 12 oz. LOP: 14-1/2″. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Robert Burg. CONDITION: Excellent, as custom finished, essentially as new, with scant evidence of firing.
