*BEAUTIFUL HIGH CONDITION L.C. SMITH SPECIALTY GRADE WITH DAMASCUS BARRELS.

SN 219074E. Cal. 12 Ga. 28″ Damascus bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Choked: IMP CYL/MOD. Full length matted rib with brass front bead. Bbls marked “L.C. SMITH SPECIALTY GRADE / HUNTER ARMS CO. MF’R’S FULTON, N.Y.” Featherweight frame. Hunter One trigger, automatic ejectors, non-automatic safety. Beautifully straight grained walnut stock is capped full pistol grip with 14-1/4″ LOP over serrated black hard rubber buttplate. Checkered in classic 2-point pattern. Splinter forearm with banjo roll type release, checkered in 3-point pattern with triangular horn tip. Receiver nicely engraved with broad scroll and 2 quail in scene on left, flying duck in marsh scene on right, both marked “L.C. SMITH”. Bottom of frame lightly scroll engraved, as is trigger guard. Weight: 7 lb 3 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 90-95% orig pattern, just starting to tone near breech and at carry point. Receiver retains 95-97% orig case color, just starting to tone towards bottom front of frame but mostly deep, rich and vivid throughout. Trigger guard retains 95% orig blue, starting to tone at tang. Buttstock and forend are excellent and retain nearly all of their orig varnish with a few light handling marks throughout. Ebony forend tip with minor repair. Buttplate is excellent.
