*EARLY WINCHESTER MODEL 21 FIELD GUN.SN 1221. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/8 chambers. Fine 4-digit standard field grade model 21 with rare 32″ bbls. Double triggers and extractors. Standard rib with steel front bead and “certifiable pre-ban ivory” mid-bead. Bbls marked with typical early markings. Forend shows early 3-point checkering and early Model 21 forend release. Frame shows typical early non-recessed hinge pin. Non-selective safety with standard lined safety button. Full pistol grip with non-orig steel grip cap shows typical 2 point checkering. LOP is 13-7/8″ over “WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO” buttplate that is a replacement with a fair fit. Bore diameter: both bbls .730 Chokes .033 left, right .030. Weight 7 lbs. 8 oz. CONDITION: Overall excellent as partially restored. 95% blue with excellent bores that are bright and shiny. Frame retains 90-95% blue. Top lever retains 60-70% of what could be its orig blue. Top tang retains 75-80% blue. Trigger guard bow shows 40-50% blue with trigger guard tang having toned. Orig forend wood in good condition with checkering partially smooth but still visible throughout, retaining half of its hand rubbed finish and checkering filled. Buttstock in very good condition showing a couple of minor bumps. Checkering filled lightly in and slightly worn from hunting wear over the years.
