SIOUX STONE HEADED “SKULL CRUSHER” WITH ORIGINAL DROP.Wood shaft measuring 28″ overall is covered with rawhide. 7″ long tapered stone head rawhide drop is attached by leather cord with brass bead and blue, red and green trade bead decoration supporting 14″ length of apparent horse hair with quilled rawhide fringed decoration. PROVENANCE: From the personal estate collection of John W. Armiger Jr. CONDITION: Stone head is loose due to sinew breakage where sewn to rawhide strap. Rawhide surface is dry, tight and intact. A few beads are missing from decorated drop and most of the dried quill decoration on the approximately 20 small rawhide tassels is missing, though all the tassels remain. 49055-67 (1,000-1,500) – Lot 3380
