SAPOLIN PAINT COUNTERTOP STORE DISPLAY.

Scarce store display from this New York based paint company consists of a dove-tailed wood cabinet housing an ornate gesso decorated frame, painted with Sapoline gold enamel. The framed image is a comical scene of four elves using a Wright Brothers era bi-plane to paint a multi-colored rainbow. The image is reverse applied to glass and when displayed in front of a light source appears electrified. Also included is an additional reverse illustration on glass of elves capturing and painting a large frog. The glass displays are interchangeable within the same frame. Lot includes a small turned wood canister with a full glass vial of gold enamel together with a cardboard product box. SIZE: 20″ w x 18″ h x 7″ d.
