Technically known as the Western Union Automatic Self-Winding Ticker used throughout the 1920s and into the 1940s it provided stock quotes and later news and sporting event info. The black painted cast iron base retains a partial original decal reading “Western Union Telegraph Co.” and rests upon a fluted wooden pedestal. Interior contains elaborate electromagnetic device stamped “23-A” (Model number), Serial Number “4467” and “22 Ohms”. Comes with original glass dome. Comes fresh to the market from a longtime northeast collection. SIZE: 12” h x 12” diam., 49-1/2” h with pedestal.
