INCREDIBLE EARLY AMERICAN TIN MERRIAM DOUBLE HORSE EXPRESS WAGON.

At first glance, one notices the fanciful lettering/stenciling on the wagon itself. So well executed and not the typical lettering and pinstriping. Even the attachment of the horses to the wagon is not what one usually sees to eyelets on the bottom of the wagon and hooks on the horses yoke as opposed to the typical soldered wires directly to the yoke. In really beautiful original condition for a toy that is 125+ years old. Great form and great presence! SIZE: 22-3/4″ l. CONDITION: Blacklight inspection reveals no discrepancies other than a couple of spots on the white horses where the wires had been resoldered with absolutely minimal paint touch up. 49013-8 (2,000-3,000) – Lot 2052
