Three composition headed large clowns play instruments with crank action. Large paper on wood base holds music box with primitive “plink-plonk” music. Bodies of clowns are hand carved wood and all original colorful clothing. One figure twists as he plays cello, the center clown on wooden ladder hits a cymbal and third figure holds trombone as he turns his head. A very nice German toy with nicely painted facial features. SIZE: Tallest clown is 11-1/2″ t. Overall is 14″ t. CONDITION: Clown faces have light soiling & could use cleaning, some fading to original clothing-most remaining bright, some small repairs to wood bodied dolls, otherwise working and complete. 47580-5 (900-1,500) – Lot 2032
