Captioned “Active Service on Land and Sea”. 2) Scarce poster by the renowned James Montgomery Flagg (Uncle Sam “I Want You”) of an irate gent removing his jacket, posed for a fight upon reading the discarded newspaper headline reading “Huns Kill Women And Children”. Captioned “Tell That To The Marines!”. 3) Recruiting poster by Flagg picturing a solider with gun drawn standing in front of the Stars and Stripes stating “Be A US Marine”. 4) Broadside poster stating “Halt! Who Goes There?” with several illustrations of marines in action. SIZE: All average 30″ w x 40″ h. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Richard J. Miller. CONDITION: 1) Near excellent. 2) Small tear at top. 3) Slightly faded with small tear at top. 4) Creased and wrinkled. 2-3 appear to be laid down.
