1) Barnum & Bailey “Pallenberg’s Wonder Bears” poster. Humorous illustration of bears on roller skates, bicycles and walking a tight rope. Captioned “The Only Bicycle-riding, Roller-skating, Acrobatic Bears in the World”. Copyright 1915 by the Strobridge Litho Co., Cincinnati & New York. 2) Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus “Bring ‘Em Back Alive” poster starring world famous big game hunter Frank Buck. Image depicts Frank Buck with a menagerie of wild African animals. This poster is captioned after his book of the same name which led him to a career in the film industry followed by his own show with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. 3) Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus poster titled “The Human Gyroscope – Miss Beatrice Sweeney”. A 3/4 length illustration of Miss Sweeney under the Big Top, spinning upside down in her acrobatic act. Copyright circa 1923 by the Strobridge Litho. Co., Cincinnati & New York. CONDITION: 1) Near excellent with short tear and some light rippling to the far outer lower left margin. 2) Near excellent; close examination reveals a few fine fold creases; original paper rider pasted to the bottom margin has been torn off. 3) Very good to excellent; close inspection shows several closed tears to top left and bottom margins. 1-14928 (1,500-2,500) – Lot 1574
