LOT OF TWO UNUSUAL GERMAN BISQUE DOLLS.Closed mouth doll dressed in green is incised “B&DLT9(?)Germany”, attributed to Dawo & Dotter. This narrow faced young lady doll has a 5-pc composition body similar to those found on an S&H 1469. The child doll dressed in white has a narrow face, open mouth with protruding upper lip and four upper teeth, brown sleep eyes with silk upper lashes and painted lower lashes and a faintly impressed number in the back of the head which is unreadable. She has a conventional fully jointed child body and nice blonde mohair wig. SIZE: B&D 13″ t (33cm), unmarked 15″ t (38cm). PROVENANCE: The Madelyn Trotter Collection.
