JACKSON 1¢ GUM VENDOR.Machine was manufactured by Hance and dubbed the “Fat Boy”. Evidently Hance produced a number of machines for private label under the name of Jackson Manufacturing Co., Jackson, Michigan, this particular machine has an original brass label on the right side. Machine has been professionally and totally restored inside and out. Enameled in a maroon with gold pinstriping and polished pull handle, polished brass coin entry & maker’s tag. Machine appears to be all-original and intact excepting rear cash door which was originally a molded piece of pressed steel and currently the replica is the same. Bracket on rear of the machine to hang on wall as opposed to placing on a counter. Globe itself is filled with a white gumball for visual appearance, and is in functional working order. Screw on top of filler cap, perhaps machine had a marquee of some sort originally(??). SIZE: Approx 15″ t. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling.
