THREE SPARKLER TOYS.

Three German comical sparkler toys. Not being familiar with these pieces, they are quite intriguing and extremely well lithographed. They appear to be of German manufacture. One being a clown type figure holding a dog in each arm. The second figure almost reminiscent of a state magician or a gypsy with an earring in each ear. The third also either an actor or magician and possibly these two were famous caricatures from the 1920s. A lever on the front when depressed would engage the sparkler and sparks would be present coming from his mouth. The clown figure still emits sparks but all three are still in working order, perhaps the flint just being worn. All three are in remarkable condition in fine to very fine condition with very minor scuffs. Bases have been formulated for these pieces to stand on and for display purposes. Great and unusual pieces. SIZE: Approx 4-1/2″ t each. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: As described above. 1-14740 (500-800) – Lot 1132
