Please note: The photo in the printed catalog is incorrect; the description is correct and the online photo is correct. GERMAN TRUCK WITH MILITARY FIGURES & MILITARY CYCLE.The truck reminiscent of an Orobr vehicle has a German military driver and three German military figures sitting on a bench directly behind the cab. An interesting toy lithographed in orange with red highlighting and a black roof, this vehicle is not done in the sense of a military toy being gray or camouflage, and it appears that they used a regular commercial vehicle and dressed it up with military figures. Obviously a combination of pieces and parts by the toy manufacturer to appeal to the young fellow who was inclined to play with military toys. Windup mechanism in functional condition and overall condition very good to fine. The second toy is a military motorcycle of unknown vintage perhaps from he late 30’s to the early 40’s. The bike itself has a camouflage finish and the military figure is dressed in gray with matching cap. Windup mechanism in working order. Overall condition is very fine plus to near mint. SIZE: Approx 8-1/2″ and 7-1/2″ respectively. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: As stated above. 1-14776 (400-600) – Lot 1130 Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll Auction - Fall 2014 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
