BUDDY L OUTDOOR TRAIN SET.

Buddy L’s classic locomotive and tender produced in the 1930s, the engine itself is a 4-6-2 outline with an 8-wheel tender. For a youth to receive this as a present must have been a thrilling experience. The working side rods and valve gear as this was rolled along must have brought great joy to that child with such a large variety of cars that could be added to the train for years to come. This particular lot contains the engine, tender, boxcar and caboose along with two pieces of straight track. SIZE: Engine & Tender: 42″ l., Boxcar: 21″ l, Caboose: 19″ l. CONDITION: Engine and tender retain original paint with typical wear and a good cleaning would certainly brighten up the paint. Overall very good plus. Caboose and boxcar, enameled in red overall in good condition. As is typical, some deterioration to die cast couplings, but a good solid set. 1-14263 (1,500-2,500) – Lot 3381
