EXCEEDINGLY RARE VINDEX “LOCKHEED” AIRPLANE.

Vindex made a limited number of toys and they are most known for their wonderful farm toys, which made sense since they were located in Belvidere, Illinois. This is the largest of the Vindex planes with a 9″ wingspan. Quite simplistic in nature, they used a single casting with a nickel plated cowl and propeller and a most realistic body style including the rear open cockpit. For the collector of cast iron airplanes, this is one of the most elusive and hardest planes to find. A great item and a wonderful opportunity for a serious collector of cast iron aeronautical toys.
