Teddy is standing and arm jointed only. With harlequin style red, white and blue coloring, and felt paw pads. Teddy is very firmly stuffed with excelsior. No claws on paws. Teddy is decorated with a red fabric collar and a blue ribbon which are probably original or correct to the period of production. Teddy’s face is detailed with tiny black and brown glass pupil eyes and a brown hand-embroidered simple nose and mouth. Most likely produced by the boutique and little known toy firm Art Novelty Company of New York. SIZE: Overall 15″ t (39cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Slight wear and discoloration on paw pads. Decorative blue ribbon is separating. Back seam appears restitched. Otherwise very good. 1-13821 (400-500) – Lot 3118
