LARGE STEIFF VELVET MICKEY MOUSE DOLL WITH BUTTON.

The second to largest sized Steiff Mickey Mouse produced pre-war. Mickey is standing, unjointed, and made from velvet. He wears orange shoes, red shorts, and yellow gloves. The soles of his shoes are made from linen; the left one has a stamp acknowledging the Mickey Mouse, Steiff, and Walt Disney patent agreement. His shorts are detailed with four mother of pearl buttons. Mickey’s face is brought to life with a black velvet nose, black thread whiskers, glued eyes, and a hand drawn mouth. Mickey’s ears are made from black felt. Mickey retains his large trailing “F” Steiff button and red ear tag as his IDs. SIZE: Overall 14-1/2″ t (36cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection.
