VERY RARE AND UNUSUAL NICKLE NACKLE TEDDY BEAR FROM THE RUDOLPH HAAS COMPANY.

Seldom seen on the secondary market German made mechanical bear. Turns head from left to right when right arm is moved, also nods when left arm is moved. This mechanism was patented by the Haas Company in the late 1920s. Teddy is made from brown tipped mohair and is 5-ways jointed with peach orange colored felt paw pads. Hard stuffed with excelsior. Face is detailed with glass pupil eyes and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. No claw stitching. SIZE: Overall 15″ t (38cm). Sitting 10″ t (26cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Very light play wear. One hand paw pad has been replaced. Paw pads have minor soiling and a few very small holes.
