LOVELY VERY EARLY WHITE STEIFF TEDDY BEAR WITH BLANK BUTTON.

Very charming circa 1905 white 5-ways jointed mohair teddy bear with tiny 4mm blank button. Traditional early Steiff proportions with pronounced back hump, very long arms and long narrow feet. As with most early white Steiff bears this one has a brown hand-embroidered nose, mouth and claws with pert, black shoebutton eyes and her five claws on each paw date her at the very early turn of last century. SIZE: Overall 12″ t (30cm). Sitting 8″ (21cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Felt paw pads are slightly dirty with very minor pin holes.
