EARLY WHITE STEIFF BEAR WITH BUTTON.

Sweet and pensive looking white Steiff bear is jointed 5-ways and exhibits traditional Steiff proportions of the period. Teddy has pronounced back hump, long arms with curved wrists, and long narrow feet. Bear has original peach felt paw pads, and four brown hand-embroidered claws on each paw. Teddy’s face is detailed with black shoe button eyes and a brown hand-embroidered nose and mouth. Bear retains his small trailing “F” button and traces of his white ear tag. SIZE: Overall 15-1/2″ t (38cm). Sitting 11″ t (29cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Small hole at tip of right paw pad. Nose, mouth and claw stitching possibly restitched.
