LARGE AND EARLY BLOND STEIFF BEAR WITH BUTTON.

This circa 1910 bear is 5-ways jointed and has early and classic Steiff proportions. He is quite handsome and has soft, full mohair coverage. Excelsior stuffed, pronounced back hump, and four claws on each paw. Distinctive broad face with black shoebutton eyes, trimmed muzzle, and black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. Small trailing “F” button in ear. SIZE: Overall 24″ t (62cm). Sitting 16″ (41cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Pads replaced.
