1863 BLACK VALLEY RAILROAD TEMPERANCE POSTER. Printed by Ch. Crosby and lithographed in color by E. Ackerman, Boston. The Black Valley Railroad was an 1860 metaphor for the road to hell for those who drank alcohol. SIZE:20″ x 18″ including margins, excluding old original frame. CONDITION: Very Good. Image clean and without faults. Margins with light toning and soiling.1-27905 (700-1,000) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Spring 2002 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
