ENGLISH FLINTLOCK FOWLING PIECE CONVERTED TO PERCUSSION. NSN. Cal. 12ga, 41-1/2″ part oct. bbl. Silver furniture has the makers mark “IH” and London hallmarks for 1764. Converted to percussion using a drum and a new lock. There are other marks on the bbl that can not be read due to pitting and cleaning. CONDITION: Brown patina on bbl mostly cleaned at the rear with very heavy pitting in the area of the drum. Stock has several natural flaws that were repaired during manufacture and some of these are coming out. It is also worn through on the bottom of the forearm. There is a large chunk missing behind the hammer and a sliver on the right side of the forearm. 4-47061 X9 (2,500-3,500)
