CARVED FLINTLOCK RIFLE.

CARVED FLINTLOCK RIFLE. NSN. Cal. .54, 43-3/8″ part oct. bbl. The “RICHd HOLLIS” lock has been added to this gun by inlaying new wood in the lock area. Bbl has been reconverted. Stock is a heavy Reading style with a large 4-pc patchbox with heart piercing. The carving is two “C” scrolls behind the cheek-piece and moderate borders in front of the cheek-piece and along the bottom of the stock. There is a full wear plate on the bottom of the stock behind the triggerguard, with the release for the patchbox towards the butt. The same heavy line engraving is on the fore end. Rear sight is a replacement. CONDITION: Good to very good. 4-47362 FS295 (1,500-2,000)
