MODEL 1851 COLT NAVY. SN 928 all matching. A very early 2nd Model squareback Navy with screw over the weight, instead of the screw under the wedge as usually found up to SN 1250. So much for absolute conclusions on SN ranges! This “should be” a 1st Model Navy. It’s a very real 2nd Model. CONDITION: A very genuine specimen showing some very well done welding repairs to dents on the shoulders of the cylinder. Cylinder with partial scene, frame and bbl markings very good. Steel surfaces with some scattered very light pitting overall. Some age toning to the dull nature steel surface color/patina. Backstrap and triggerguard with traces of the original silver plate. Very good but worn grips. 4-46220 (2,750-3,750)
