LOT OF NINE POWDER HORNS. 1) 7-5/8″ plain horn with carved oct. mouth. Marked “TB SMITH” in green paint on side. “T.B.S” on the pine plug. – Lightly scratched overall. 2) 10-1/2″ plain horn with rough turn mouth. – Scratched overall with slight flaking at mouth. 3) 10-1/2″ plain horn with dbl carved decoration at nozzle. The rear ring has filed “V” decorations. – Light splitting at mouth, some insect damage at base. 4) 7-1/2″ plain horn with thin turned mouth. Domed walnut plug with turned knob. – Several splits on very thin mouth. Two spots of insect damage, otherwise good. 5) 11-1/2″ plain horn with oct. mouth. Domed head marked “T.P.”. – Much scratched overall. Plug is split crossways. Two repaired splits. 6) 10″ very heavy horn marked “T.E. HANN/1854/ALVIN.DENN”. Similar heavy filing decorate rest of horn. – Large split at mouth otherwise good. 7) 6-3/4″ lightweight horn with hand carved mouth. – Much scratched, heavy insect damage at base. 8) 7-1/2″ plain horn with turned ring behind mouth. – Light scratching overall, but very good. 9) 10-3/4″ plain horn with oct. mouth. – Some splits at base otherwise good. 4-47330-133 FS606 (300-600)
