*CUSTOM ENFIELD TAKEDOWN SPORTING RIFLE. Cal. 35 Whalen? Unusual takedown rifle built on a 1917 Enfield action with 22″ tapered round bbl, ramp front sight, 2-leaf Express sight with a clever dovetail filler where the original rear sight was attached. The takedown is accomplished by loosening a small knurled screw just forward of the floorplate and unscrewing the bbl. Stock is modestly figured walnut with fine checkering on the forearm and grip with a serrated steel buttplate and sling eyes. The receiver ring is drilled and tapped and the bolt cocks on the down stroke. NSN. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains virtually all its original custom finish showing little or no wear. 4-46823 JR65 (400-700)
