P. WEBLEY & SON CAPE GUN. Cal. 10ga and about 52 center fire. Beautiful field gun with 30-1/8″ damascus bbls having a small dovetail front sight and 4-leaf (1 standing; 3 folding) Express sight marked on the top rib with the maker’s name and address. The small schnable tipped splinter forearm is secured with a single wedge. The round action has an under lever with back action locks, unadorned, with only the maker’s name. Wood is nicely figured English walnut with coarse checkering on the forearm and semi-pistol grip stock, 14-1/2″ over a smooth steel buttplate. SN 10989. CONDITION: Very good, plus. The bbls retain 93-95% original brown damascus pattern, thinning in areas. Receiver and lock plates retain 50-60% case colors, bright in the sheltered areas.
