China, 19th century, ink and color on paper, finely depicting a mountainous landscape with pines and river, inscribed with a poem, signed “Zhenyan,” with three seals including a collector’s seal of He Delan (1859-1942) (Isaac Taylor Headland). SIZE: 18-1/2″ x 10-3/8″. PROVENANCE: Inherited by decent: Originally owned by Rev. Issac Taylor Headland (author of several books on Chinese life) & Dr. Mariam Sinclair (Doctor and physician to the family of the Empress Dowager’s mother & sister as well as many of the Princesses & High Official ladies in Peking) to Marian Headland (Daughter of Issac Headland & Mariam Sinclair) to Charles Leigh Sebring (founder of Sebring, Ohio & Sebring, Florida & Husband of Marian Headland); to our consignor, granddaughter of Charles L.
