DIMINUTIVE JACOBEAN STYLE DISPLAY CABINET. Late 19th, early 20th century, England. The small rectangular cabinet with molded cornice above a glass panel door, the interior with two shelves flanked by balusters carved with gargoyles on scrolling brackets above a bank of three short drawers carved with scrolling vinery centering gargoyle mask handles flanked by three-dimensional gargoyles. The molded base raised on short cabriole legs with scrolled volutes. SIZE: 61″ h x 20-1/2″ w x 12″ overall d. CONDITION: Surfaces with dry old polish. Cabinet now a chocolate brown color.
