UNUSUAL 32-DRAWER WALNUT AND MAHOGANY APOTHECARY CHEST. 19th century, probably England. The rectangular top with burr walnut panel within mahogany crossbanding and half-round mahogany molded edge above the conforming case fitted with four banks of eight short drawers each fitted with a pressed brass rosette with ring handle, on a molded base raised on bracket feet. SIZE: 37-1/2″ h x 31″ w x 9-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Professionally restored and repolished, top with area of water stain with some stabilized lifting of veneer. Otherwise good. 9-29755 (1,000-2,000)
