*FINE 1ST GENERATION COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. SN 343377. Cal. 38 WCF (38-40). Nickel finish with 4-3/4″ bbl, full front sight, 2-line address & caliber marking on left side. Left side of frame has 2-line, 3-patent dates and rampant Colt in a partial circle. Mounted with rampant Colt hard rubber grips numbered to this revolver. SN was observed on bottom of frame & right side of front & back straps under grip and last two digits of SN are on rear face of cylinder. By the time this revolver was produced very few were being ordered with the 4-3/4″ barrels with the majority being 5-1/2″ & 7-1/2″ making this a somewhat rare configuration. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Overall retains about all of its strong, bright orig factory finish with one small spot on left side of bbl and some minor flaking around face of cylinder. Revolver has been fired but very little. Grips are crisp showing one small spot of worn diamond points. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. 4-40140 JR114 (7,500-9,500)
