*MARLIN MODEL 94 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. SN 5884. Cal .44-40. Oct 24″ bbl with German silver blade, Rocky Mountain front sight, and Rocky Mountain Rear sight. Top flat of bbl is marked “MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN, CT.U.S.A./PATENTED OCT. 11, 1887. APRIL, 2,1889.” Full length mag. Standard case colored receiver top tang is marked “Marlin/MODEL 94” followed by the six point star marking. Straight grip stock with S-shaped steel buttplate and forend of straight grain American walnut. PROVENANCE: Richard Rohal Estate Collection. CONDITION: Very good. 95% bbl and mag tube blue with very light edge wear. Action has 90% case colors with slight fading on bottom of the receiver and some patina on the bottom of the lever. Very good refinished stock and forend with light handling marks. Buttplate has good blue with spots of surface corrosion. Crisp mechanics and a very good bore. 4-40363 DS28 (3,000-5,000)
