*MARLIN MODEL’94 TAKEDOWN RIFLE. SN 419096. Cal .32-20. Part rnd 24″ bbl with Lyman ivory bead front sight and Rocky Mountain rear sight. Top flat of bbl is marked ” MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN, CT.U.S.A./PATENTED OCT. 11 1887. APRIL 2 1889, AUGUST 1 1893.” 2/3 length mag, standard takedown action with medium-length locking cam. Top tang marked “Marlin/MODEL’94” classic S-shaped pistol grip stock with hard rubber buttplate, stock and forend of semi-fancy American walnut. PROVENANCE: Richard Rohal Estate Collection. CONDITION: Good. Bbl and mag tube have 90% blue with light wear and handling marks. Receiver has areas of receiver sides have good case color mixing with light surface corrosion. Receiver top and tang have fading case colors with areas of rust, lever has case colors visible in the protected areas, with the balance being patina mixed with surface corrosion. Blued hammer has spots of rust. Action screws show light screwdriver distortion. Sound buttstock and forend have moderate wear and handling marks.
