*A Y A SIDELOCK EJECTOR LIGHT GAME GUN WITH CASE. SN 523493. Cal. 20 Ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 26″ Chopper lump barrels are stamped “A Y A – Aguirre & Aranzabal – Made in Spain” on narrow concave game rib. Top of left bbl is stamped “W. L. Moore. Agoura Ca.” Bottoms of bbls have choke markings. Left bbl is stamped “Canones Cromo Niquel”. Bbl flats have Spanish nitro proofs for 2-3/4″ chambers. Holland & Holland style case hardened bar sidelock action features automatic safety, double triggers (front articulated), bushed strikers, gold line tumbler end cocking indicators, and H & H type hand detaching pin. Action and lockplates are engraved with very nicely cut scroll and rose bouquet in typical English style. Engraving is done to a much higher degree of workmanship than is commonly found on these guns. Bottom of action is engraved “Aguirre” “Y” “Aranzabal” “Eibar”. Single beaded trigger guard has scroll on bow, and SN on tang. Smoky marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 13-7/8″ over checkered wood butt, and features carved drop points, vacant gold oval, and 22 LPI point pattern borderless checkering. Matching splinter forend has Anson release. SN is on iron, and in barrel channel. Bore diameter: left -.624, right -.624. Bore restrictions: left -.011, right -.004. Wall thickness: left -.040, right -.041. Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 5 lbs. 9.6 oz, LOP 13-7/8″ Considerably cast on for left hand shooter. Tan leather case with stitched leather corners is lined in blue green cloth, with black leather A Y A label. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain 95% of their original blue, silvering at muzzles, and thinning above forend. Action retains 95-97% original case color, silvering on beads and sides of fences. Lockplates retain virtually all of their case color. Top lever and trigger guard retain most of their original blue, silvered on high edges. Trigger guard tang is mostly gray. Stocks retain most of their original finish with a few minor marks. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Ejectors are in time. Bores are excellent, bright and shiny. Case leather has a few minor scuffs and rubs, especially on corners. Interior is excellent. Straps and handle show some use, but are strong. 4-39542 MGM94 (2,000-5,000)
