*FINE WINCHESTER 1895 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. SN 52898. Cal. 30 US. 28″ rnd bbl, pedestal front with pinned brass blade & sporting rear sight. Mounted with straight grain walnut with uncheckered straight grip & crescent butt. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 95% orig blue with moderate amount of muzzle wear & a few minor scratches. Receiver has 75% orig blue, stronger on sides, thinned to gray patina on top & slightly down front of left side. Lever & magazine box have considerable blue with wear from lever on magazine box & a little thinning across bottom of lever. Stock is sound with minor sliver of wood missing on upper right side & only a couple minor light handling dings; has most of a professionally added light coat of oil. Butt plate is mostly a gray patina. Forend with ebony tip insert has a few minor nicks & dings and most of a professionally added light coat of oil.
